HOW TO COMMISSION YOUR OWN CUSTOM NAUTICAL CHART PAINTING:

1.)   First, select the chart, or area you'd like to see incorporated, as the background for the painting.

2.)    Next, send photos via email or tell me where to search online for photos of the boat or favorite place you'd like to have painted onto the chart.  * The higher the resolution the photos are the better, and make sure they are good clear shots. Every detail possible will be incorporated in your painting.

3.)   Then, I will send you preliminary "mock-up" ideas for the layout of the painting using the photos and the chart so you have an idea of what the finished product will look like before I begin the painting.

We'll work together using the mock-up to make the layout perfect!

4.)   Finally, after approval of the layout, your painting will begin as soon as possible.

Once the painting is completed, I will send you photos via email for your approval.

HOW MUCH DOES A COMMISSIONED NAUTICAL CHART PAINTING COST?

Cost will depend on the size of the painting, and how many elements are incorporated within the painting.

<== The smallest (seen left) and most popular size for gifts measures approximately 20 x24" after framing and is painted on a paper chart. This size includes the matting and framing.

*This is the only size painted on paper and framed.

<== Paintings larger than 20 x 24" are painted onto a gallery-wrapped canvas chart which can measure up to 60" maximum. No framing is necessary. The chart edges will have the chart image wrapped around the side.

TIME TO COMPLETION:

*Please let me know in your email if there is a particular date you would need the painting completed.*

**Currently booked until mid-February 2021.

Place your order now to begin as soon as possible.

Depending on how many orders have already been placed and with confirmed dates, your order could take from a minimum of 2 weeks to up to 6 weeks to completion. If there is no specific date, it could take longer.

I can give you an estimate of time to completion when you contact me.

SHIPPING:
Once I've sent photos of the completed painting and you have approved it, the painting will be shipped (fully insured) via UPS Ground to arrive by the date specified. Up-to-the-minute tracking information will be provided to you then as well.  

*Shipping and handling charges will depend on the size of the final painting and distance from Michigan to your location. If more expidited shipping is needed, additional charges will be applied accordingly.

The US Postal Sevice will be used to ship to all APO/FPO's.

PAYMENT:
50% deposit is due before the painting is started.

Payment can be made by check or by credit card via PayPal.

Remaining balance is due when your painting is shipped.
